PEPUP TECH LAUNCHES NEW SALESFORCE MARKETING CLOUD BOOTCAMP AND VIRTUAL ACADEMY Non-profit continues its efforts to provide equity in the tech industry in Indianapolis INDIANAPOLIS -- AUGUST 23, 2019 -- PepUp Tech announced today that it will launch the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Bootcamp and Virtual Academy. Created by four women of color, PepUp Tech aims to move the needle with diversity in tech and give underserved young people the chance to follow their dreams in the tech industry. It gives motivated, under-represented students access to skills, mentors, and confidence needed to begin their careers. With the launch of the Marketing Cloud Bootcamp and Virtual academy, Salesforce and PepUp Tech are working together to increase diversity in tech through opportunity and education. The goal of the bootcamp is to make an economic impact by up-skilling under-represented minorities and low-income individuals in Indianapolis while creating a pipeline for corporate partners. Additionally, the Marketing Cloud Virtual Academy will allow students to deep dive into subject areas and learn a variety of Marketing Cloud skill sets. Program participants will have access to industry experts, professionals, and workforce placement opportunities upon completion of the program.

“Teaming up with Salesforce on this initiative speaks volumes of the work that we are able to accomplish in the city of Indianapolis. The generational impact that this will have on those that may not have known they could pursue careers in tech will have a lasting economic impact in this city, ” said Selina Suarez, Founder and CEO of PepUp Tech. The first cohort of the program will start this August and end in November. Each cohort will consist of 20 to 30 participants that have been selected through an application and interview process.
